Vice-President: Amy Cook, Director of the Resource Center and Christian Formation Specialist for the Diocese of Massachusetts. She has a Masters in Christian Education and has served as education director, youth leader, and Sunday school teacher at various churches. She loves developing curriculum and special programs for churches and enjoys the creative process of designing an event with a group. For eight years she traveled in ten different countries doing Christian drama with Covenant Players. It was there she met her husband and the two have continued to be active in community theater through acting, directing, and other theater work. (Amy loves costuming and has a large collection of vintage clothes) The love of theater spills into Christian education and she loves to make movies with children around bible stories and teaches workshops on dramatizing scripture. She also loves resources of all kinds and enjoys seeking out new mediums to use in teaching scripture. Member-at-large: Lori Daniels, Curriculum Specialist at the Center for the Ministry of Teaching (CMT) at Virginia Theological Seminary. Since 2004, she has helped seminary students in their coursework and local parishes with their Christian Education needs and materials. With the retirement of the CMT librarian, Lori’s responsibilities increased as the Center awaits the hiring of a new director. Before coming to the seminary Lori was active in her local parish providing Christian Education programs and planning and implementing Vacation Bible School. Being a part of NOERC has provided the staff at CMT a better understanding of the role of Resource Centers in the church, improved communications with other Resource Librarians, and ideas for improving its services. |
